We Embrace The New Generation

By supporting Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) for both incoming and outgoing students from our community, Interact for high school students, Rotary Eighth Grade Leadership (REGL) and Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA), our club enriches the prospects for more than a hundred young people a year directly.

We also support the Carson City School District by honoring students and teachers with recognition on a regular basis, and contributing to scholarships and ongoing educational programs related to music instruction, orchestra and band. At every meeting, Carson Rotarians get to meet a Student of the Week or a Teacher of the Month, who is presented with a check and/or plaque in recognition of their efforts.

International and Community Programs

Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE)

This exchange program supports both in-bound and out-going students who are finishing up high school and want to study out of their home country. Amazing bonds of family and friendship are formed, languages are learned and memories are created that last a lifetime.

Rotary Youth Leadership Academy

High school juniors who are invited to our RYLA program attend a week-long special camp at the Grizzly Ranch near Chilcoot in California, where they learn about leadership, citizenship and how to motivate and discover their own inner leaders.

Rotary Eighth Grade Leadership

Club activities held at Carson Middle School and Eagle Valley Middle School prepare students for their transition to high school. Once they enter high school and want to stay with Rotary, they can become members of Interact, and continue their progress in Rotary programs.

You can help get your children involved in Rotary

We are looking for opportunities to work with parents and children who are interested in participating in Carson City Rotary. Families who become part of the Rotary family seem to thrive on service, fellowship and making a difference. If you'd like to get a young person involved in an education overseas, join our Rotary Club and take a look at our student exchange program today. We are always looking for help for in-bound students as well. Contact a Rotary member or drop in at one of our Tuesday noon meetings this coming week.
