The Carson City School District's Professional Development Center grant proposal - "Literacy Development and Love of Reading through Social Studies," has been selected as this year’s Carson City Rotary $5,000 Education Grant recipient. This project, submitted by Brittany Witter, includes purchasing of historical novels for each school site for grades 3-8. This project will also include instructional strategies to ensure project goals of developing student literacy skills are achieved. Ms. Witter will present an update on the grant’s progress and goal achievement at the Carson Rotary Club’s May 7, 2024 weekly meeting.
